The story behind Wishdrop

Wishdrop is a wishing fountain that happens to live on the internet. You choose a coin, you throw it, you make a wish. That is the whole product. The coin is a real payment and the wish is really stored, but nothing about either of them is a promise.

A bigger coin does not buy a better chance. There is no algorithm weighing your wish, no ranking, no boost. The price differences exist because some people want to throw a heavier coin, the way some people put a two-euro piece in the Trevi and some people put in five cents.

Public wishes drift through the Wish Stream anonymously. Private wishes are only ever seen by the person who wrote them, through a link nobody else has. We do not ask who you are and we do not look up where you are.

Nobody knows if this works. That's kind of the point.
